"Improving Resilience and Minimizing Chronic Stress!"

I am declaring 2012 the year of "Improving Resilience and Minimizing Chronic Stress!"

I am saddened by the way stress just seems to be an accepted mode of life for so many people. It doesn't have to be this way and it shouldn't be this way.

Chronic Stress kills!

Living with chronic stress doesn't necessarily mean that you will die young (although it is associated with the leading causes of death,) but living with chronic stress does guarantee that you are dying slowly.

You have reduced energy and vitality; your nerve cells die prematurely; your body atrophies and your level of happiness wanes! You are also less productive which impacts your financial success.

There are solutions; effective, simple strategies that will improve resiliency and minimize stress. Don't wait, take action now. Please contact us and make 2012 the year you said; “enough is enough, I am going to do something about it”.

Don't just survive, learn to thrive!!!!!

Productivity enhancement tip:

Exercise promotes the creation of new connections in the brain. Art Kramer of the University of Illinois/Urbana-Champaign shares his research; “a year of exercise can give a 70-year-old the connectivity of a 30-year-old, improving memory, planning, dealing with ambiguity, and multitasking.”

Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Avatar more than just a movie!

I saw Avatar a few days ago; I went to the movie without expectations and am so grateful that I did. I won’t write too much as I don’t want to contribute to anyone else’s expectations too greatly except to say that seeing the movie affected me on so many levels.

It entertained, it awed, it was magical and beautiful and touching and penetrating.

I think the best way to describe it is that it was an experience, something that shouldn’t be missed. It was more than just being entertained by a movie.

What has been most surprising is how inspired I feel; inspired by this man’s vision and his unwavering, don’t give up, commitment to the outcome.

I can only imagine how difficult this film must have been to produce. I can only imagine the non-stop obstacles that must have presented themselves. I can only imagine how many people couldn’t see his vision and I can only imagine how many people told him it wasn’t possible.

This movie pushed the envelope on so many levels. So now when I think of Avatar and James Cameron I think that nothing that I want to achieve in my life is impossible, nothing is insurmountable.

Perseverance + Vision + Knowing =
GREATNESS!!!!!

Haiti Earthquake, Compassion or indifference?

I speak a lot about the importance of compassion in the Feeling Trapped? Free Yourself Now! Life Improvement Program. Now our compassion is being put to the test with the after affects of the earthquake in Haiti.

These are the poorest of the poor, the few resources they had are now gone.

How would you feel if someone dropped you off in Haiti with the tattered clothes on your back, no money, no resources, not even food, shelter or water and said okay this is your life. What would you do? How would you survive? Your instincts would become that of an animal, a starving animal with no hope.

I know it hurts when you allow yourself to open up in this way, to become emotionally involved but this is what is needed. We can’t turn our backs on the poor anymore. How can we even think that we are any kind of civilized society when we don’t take care of the least among us?

The Dalai Lama says: “If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.”

Soon the news will die down about Haiti but don’t let it die in your heart. Renowned economist Jeffrey Sachs said there is a way for the poor to pull themselves out of poverty, but they won’t succeed until their basic needs have been met. They need our help to get there.

I admire the boldness and courage that Keith Olbermann demonstrated in his response to Pat Robertson and Rush Limbaugh’s lack of humanity regarding Haiti.(click below for YouTube video) But we must keep in mind that practicing compassion means to feel for both the victim and the perpetrator.

I heard a story that helps illustrate this: A woman had the opportunity to meet with the Dalai Lama while she was visiting India. On her way to the meeting, she witnessed a man viciously beating a dog. When she arrived at the meeting with the Dalai Lama, she was very distraught. She told him of her encounter and asked him for advice on how to feel better. His advice was to generate as much compassion in herself for the man beating the dog as she had for the dog.

The love that is required to mend our broken society can’t be an exclusive love; it must be an unconditional one.

Feeling Trapped in Life is One of the Most Disturbing and Pervasive Pandemics Affecting People of the Middle and Upper Classes

Prominent Life Coach Karen Parsons has based her findings on 18 years of interviews with thousands of successful professionals, Karen has found that a majority of her clients report feeling trapped in some way. Some people are trapped in relationships or by their work. Others find themselves trapped by a lack of balance in life. Almost unanimously, people say they are trapped by soaring stress levels.

New York, NY (PRWEB) October 6, 2009 --

The solution: The Feeling Trapped? Free Yourself Now! Life Improvement Program. This innovative and progressive program is designed to accelerate personal growth and permanently free people from the Traps that prevent them from living life at its highest potential . . . Guaranteed!

A free online questionnaire is also offered to help individuals determine whether they are Feeling Trapped and to what degree. The quick and simple questionnaire leads readers to understand whether they are: Surviving, Existing or Thriving.

These 3 categories of living are based on the knowledge gained from thousands of interviews and years of extensive research conducted by Karen.

"I have witnessed the incredibly positive impact the Feeling Trapped? Free Yourself Now! Life Coaching Methodology has had on the lives of my Clients," says Karen. Here are some of her clients' comments:

"…my personal tour guide on the road of positive self-discovery and re-discovery - helping me to develop new tools and disciplines that have played a key factor in elevating me to the next level of personal and professional success and fulfillment." Hugh Hannesson Connecticut,

"…Upon completion of the program we noted significant improvement in our employee's morale, quality of life, enthusiasm towards the job, stress level and over-all well being. We consider it a privilege to work with such a caring and conscientious professional and look forward to our next opportunity to work together." Samsung Canada

"…It has been a refreshing change from the old typical counseling session that drags on. Karen has wonderfully probed great questions that inspires me to think in other perspectives and has helped me tremendously in such a short amount of time (6 weeks). I would greatly recommend her to anyone that wants to better themselves or challenge some current issues that might be going on." Louise Myler, Texas

The Feeling Trapped? Free Yourself Now! Life Improvement Program uses concepts backed by scientific insights that silence the inner skeptic - the voice that says change is impossible and people can't do it. The information is combined with personal stories of struggle, growth and triumph to illustrate how this knowledge can be applied to self-improvement. Thought-provoking exercises and suggested actions translate this knowledge into experience, imprinting its wisdom into the participant's consciousness. This is where fundamental change begins and life transformation follows!

In celebration of the introduction of this Program, new customers will receive two Traps for the price of one! Upon purchasing Trap 1, participants in the Program will receive Trap 2 at no additional cost.

Free Yourself Now--one Trap at a time!
